Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

Scoopledger is an app by A2ZAI LLC (“we”, “us”) for planning menus, nutrition, food cost and production in food service kitchens. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version

There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your kitchen data is stored on your phone. It leaves your phone only when you use a feature that needs the internet, as described below.

What stays on your device

Your recipes, items, prices, stock, menus, production counts, signatures, temperature logs and settings are saved in a file on your phone. We never receive this file. Deleting the app deletes it. You can export it any time with Settings → “Back up everything”.

What leaves your device, and only when you use it

Snap (reading photos)

When you snap an invoice, label, spec sheet or shelf, the photo is sent to our server, which passes it to Anthropic’s Claude AI to read it. The result comes back to your phone for you to confirm. We do not store the photo. Avoid photographing anything with personal information on it.

Ask AI

When you tap “Ask AI”, your question and a summary of your kitchen data (recipe names, costs and nutrition; item prices and stock; and the last four weeks of menus and counts) are sent the same way to answer it. Signatures and temperature logs are not included. We do not store questions or answers.

USDA nutrition lookup

When you search USDA nutrition data, your search words are sent to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s FoodData Central service.

Sharing and exports

Menus, order lists, production sheets and backups are shared only through your phone’s own share sheet, to wherever you choose.

Our service providers

Supabase hosts the small server that forwards Snap and Ask AI requests. Like most hosts, it may keep standard request logs (such as IP address and time) for a short period.
Anthropic processes Snap and Ask AI requests under its commercial terms. See Anthropic’s privacy policy.
USDA FoodData Central answers nutrition searches.

We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.

Children

Scoopledger is a tool for food service professionals and is not directed at children. It does not ask for or collect information about the people you serve.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
